- If You are an Ineligible Participant and You play 6Up, any fees or charges charged to You by Your mobile carrier or others are not refundable, and Your 6Up entry will not be valid. - PlayUp disclaims any responsibility for Your inability to play, to complete playing or to continue to play 6Up due to equipment or technical malfunction, overloaded or busy servers, lines or cell sites, inadvertent disconnection, Acts of God or any other reason whatsoever whether outside PlayUp’s control or otherwise.

- Failure by PlayUp to enforce any of these T&Cs does not constitute a waiver of its right to do so.
Gaming
- The aim of 6Up is to predict what will happen on each ball of a selected 6UP Over of a 6Up Match.
- You can only play 6Up during the period from the time when the game is opened until the start of the last 6Up Over of that 6Up Match.
- 6Up is only available on an over that is a 6Up Over.
- Each 6Up entry relates to one 6Up Over only. You may play 6Up on each 6Up Over as often as You choose. Each entry, including duplicate entries, will be charged.
- The cost of each 6Up entry is as advertised for the match on the 6Up Website. Payment can be made by premium SMS or from an Prepaid Account with PlayUp.
- Entry via premium SMS to 89010 is charged at a premium rate to an ordinary SMS, two pounds sterling (£2), but this may vary from time to time as posted on the 6Up Website. The cost of the SMS is charged to Your mobile telephone account or is deducted from Your credit balance if You have a “pre-pay” telephone, at the time that the acknowledgement SMS is sent to Your mobile carrier, regardless of whether it is a valid 6Up entry. Costs associated with sending Your entry to 6Up are borne by You, are distinct from the cost of the 6Up entry itself, and are usually charged at Your usual rate for sending SMS.
- Entry using your Prepaid Account can be made online or by texting to shortcode 84411, and requires that there is sufficient credit on your account. If there is not sufficient credit, PlayUp will endeavour to inform You, but cannot guarantee that you will be informed. Texts to 84411 are charged by Your mobile service provider at their regular rate.
- Payment into your Prepaid Account (to top-up) may be made using UK credit cards issued in the UK through one of the various channels that PlayUp may offer such as online and by call from your mobile phone to an Interactive Voice Response (IVR) credit card processing service.
- A valid 6Up entry is usually a 6Up entry that includes a sequence of six characters for a 6Up Over, and may also include a 6Up Over number for which the 6Up entry applies.
- Each 6Up entry You submit:
- must contain the number of runs (or wicket) You predict will be scored from (or fall on) each ball of the relevant 6Up Over; and
- may contain the 6Up Over for which Your prediction applies.
- Your 6Up entry does not have to be made of six characters to be a valid 6Up entry. 6Up is designed to support the validity of Your 6Up entry and, therefore, to enhance Your ability to win 6Up. In order to achieve this, each 6Up entry is interpreted in accordance with paragraph 44.
- If 6Up cannot understand or interpret the over number You choose (including if You choose an over that is not a 6Up Over), Your 6Up entry is included in the next 6Up Over.
- Wides and no balls are ignored for the purposes of a 6Up Over. A prediction is for valid balls bowled only.
- An example of a valid 6Up entry is 401W62. If this 6Up entry correctly predicted the number of runs (or wickets) that were scored from (or fell on) each ball of the relevant 6Up Over, it means that the over had the following events:
- four runs scored from the first valid ball;
- no runs scored from the second valid ball;
- one run scored from the third valid ball;
- a wicket taken from the fourth valid ball (no matter how the wicket fell);
- six runs scored from the fifth valid ball; and
- two runs scored from the last valid ball.
The runs may be scored through runs from the bat or glove, overthrows, leg byes or byes. 6Up records a run out as a wicket, whether or not runs were also scored. That is, if two runs are completed, and then a batsman is run out attempting the third run, the 6Up result for that ball is W only.
- If You wish to choose a 6Up Over for which Your 6Up entry applies, include at the end of Your six characters “#” and the 6Up Over number. For example, in the first innings of a 6Up Match, 401W62#22 enters Your prediction for the 22nd over of the current innings, provided it was a 6Up Over. You can only submit an entry for a 6Up Over in the second innings once the first innings is complete.
- If your mobile phone carrier does not send a receipt of successful delivery of the 6Up entry receipt SMS by You before the start of the intended over, the 6Up entry will not be accepted for that 6Up Over. However, that 6Up entry will be applied to the next 6Up Over in that 6Up Match, if any remain. This is the case whether or not You select a particular 6Up Over for which Your 6Up entry is intended to apply.
- PlayUp is not liable for any failure to receive (either in a timely manner, or at all) any 6Up entry or receipt of successful delivery by reason of any loss of coverage or overloading of networks or any delay or failure caused by or of any telecommunications or other data transmission system, by or of a service provider or by any factor outside PlayUp’s control.
- Not all 6Up Overs may be bowled in a 6Up Match, for various reasons (including weather, bad light, one team is bowled out or one team wins before the allocated overs are completed). Accordingly:
- if a 6Up Over is not bowled in the first innings, a 6Up entry for that 6Up Over is transferred to the next availabe 6Up Over in the second innings;
- if a 6Up Over is not bowled in the second innings, a 6Up entry for that 6Up Over is not capable of winning and You will not receive any refund or payment in respect of that 6Up entry; and
- if either innings in a 6Up Match is shortened (for example, due to bad weather before or during play), an entry for a 6Up Over that will not bowled will be reallocated to the first available 6Up Over, if there are any remaining in the 6Up Match.
- If a 6Up Match finishes mid-over, a 6Up entry for that 6Up Over is deemed to be a winning 6Up entry for that 6Up Over if the Matching Rule applied to that 6Up Over was for the number of valid balls bowled in that 6Up Over (or for a lesser number of balls) and Your 6Up entry correctly predicted each of those balls in accordance with the applicable Matching Rule. Any amounts not disbursed to winning entrants will be rolled over to the next 6Up match or may be disbursed to a nominated charity as identified on the 6Up Website.
- Your 6Up entry will be confirmed by a response SMS from PlayUp or its agent or service provider . Paragraph 45 explains the responses You may receive. Provided that 6Up receives a receipt of successful delivery from your carrier prior to the start of the over, Your entry is deemed to be that contained in the response SMS to You from PlayUp or its agent or service provider. If no receipt of successful delivery is received by 6Up prior to the start of the over, then Your entry is not an eligible entry in the over. 6Up will place your entry into an over if one is available only after receiving a receipt of successful delivery.
- 6Up may not be timed to the television or radio broadcast of the match. 6Up is timed as closely as practicable to the actual match timing. A live television broadcast may be slightly delayed to a viewer’s screen.
Prize pools
- A 6Up Match may have an Accumulated Prize Pool, a Guaranteed Minimum Prize Pool and/or a Fixed Prize and a Payout Percentage.
- Some 6Up Overs may have a Guaranteed Minimum Prize Pool or a Fixed Prize. You can find out which 6Up Overs have a Guaranteed Minimum Prize Pool or a Fixed Prize by looking up the 6Up Match and 6Up Over schedule on the 6Up Website. The winning entries are determined by PlayUp in accordance with paragraphs 38 to 43. Payments related to Minimum Prize Payouts will be adjusted according to the Payout Percentage.
- The amount of an Accumulated Prize Pool in relation to a 6Up Over that does not have a Guaranteed Minimum Prize Pool or a Fixed Prize depends on the number of valid 6Up entries for that 6Up Over.
- If there is no winner for a 6Up Over, then, provided that there is at least one 6Up Over remaining ,that Prize Pool jackpots, increasing the value of the Prize Pool for the next 6Up Over in that 6Up Match.
- If not all of the Prize Pool is disbursed, such as in cases where a Payout Percentage of less than 100% applies, then, provided that there is at least one 6Up Over remaining ,that Prize Pool jackpots, increasing the value of the Prize Pool for the next 6Up Over in that 6Up Match.
- A separate Prize Pool applies for each country in which 6Up is validly played. For example, Prize Pools in the U.K. and the Caribbean are separate from each other.
- From time to time, PlayUp may offer additional bonus prizes for particular over combinations, as described on the 6Up Website.
Winning
- You win 6Up if Your 6Up entry predicts the correct number of runs or wickets for each ball of the selected 6Up Over. If more than one valid 6Up entry correctly predicts each ball of the 6Up Over, either:
- the Fixed Prize is paid to each eligible and valid correct 6Up entry, if a Fixed Prize applies to that 6Up Over; or
- the Accumulated Prize Pool multiplied by the Payout Percentage is divided equally between all eligible and valid correct 6Up entries
- For some 6Up Matches, 6Up may offer other combination games. That is, where offered, a 6Up Over may have a 5-ball Matching Rule, in which case You win by predicting the first five balls of the 6Up Over correctly; alternatively, in a 6Up Over that has a 2-ball Matching Rule, You win 6Up by predicting the first two balls of the relevant 6Up Over correctly. For these 6Up Matches, the specified Matching Rule applies to each 6Up Over and Fixed Prizes apply.
- If 6Up determines that your entry is eligible and is a winning entry, You will be notified by an SMS from PlayUp, or one of its agents or service providers. The SMS will direct you to enter a Win Code on our website where you will be prompted to enter your Win Code, Mobile Number, Name, Address and Date of Birth and other details required to ensure that you are an eligible player. If you lose your winning SMS, 6Up is not under any obligation to reissue the SMS or to pay winnings. You may be required to prove to the satisfaction of PlayUp, in its absolute discretion:
- ownership of the mobile telephone and account from which the winning 6Up entry was sent; and
- that You are not an Ineligible Participant.
Winnings are paid into your Prepaid Account and payment from the Prepaid Account will be made by cheque upon your request.
- If an error is made in the calculation or notification of a Prize Pool, however caused, PlayUp reserves the right to recalculate the Prize Pool to correct the error. Any valid winning 6Up entries will then be paid out of the recalculated Prize Pool.
- The name of each winner of 6Up may be published by PlayUp, its agents or its service providers on the 6Up Website or on another medium selected by PlayUp. By playing 6Up, You consent to publication and waive any claim to any remuneration for publication.
- If You win 6Up, You win Your prize at Your own risk. You are responsible for all insurance, tax or other costs associated with a 6Up prize. Where Your entry was submitted from a mobile telephone that is on account, the account holder is presumed to be the winner, unless the “real” participant can show otherwise. PlayUp will pay out to the person who claims the prize subject to appropriate proof of eligibility. PlayUp reserves the right not to pay if insufficient proof is given to it that the claimant is both the winner and an Eligible Participant. If there is a dispute between the account holder and the participant, PlayUp will determine in its absolute discretion who is deemed to be the winner, based on whatever evidence it deems necessary. PlayUp’s decision is final.
Interpretation of 6Up entry
- 6Up is designed to support the validity of Your 6Up entry and, therefore, to enhance Your ability to win 6Up. Your 6Up entry is run through an interpreter, whereby:
- key-press errors in a 6Up entry are converted to the number value on that key on a standard international mobile telephone keypad;
- a 6Up entry that is longer than six characters (prior to any over designator) is cut back to the first six characters (prior to any over designator), with the trailing numbers removed;
- all dots in a 6Up entry are converted to zeroes;
- each space in a 6Up entry is removed;
- a blank 6Up entry is converted to a maiden over 6Up entry (i.e., each of the six balls in the 6Up Over resulting in no runs being scored and no wickets being taken);
- a 6Up entry that is shorter than six characters (prior to any over designator) is completed with trailing zeroes;
- where a character cannot be interpreted, that character will be removed. If this reduces an entry to less than six characters, trailing zeroes are added in accordance with paragraph 44(f); and
- characters such as # and * are “over” designators. If more than one such character is found in a 6Up entry, each subsequent over designator character is removed.
Responses
- Once Your 6Up entry is received by the 6Up server, PlayUp will attempt to send you an SMS response. The following explains the meaning of the SMS response You receive:
- If the SMS response indicates “You’re in”, then Your 6Up entry has been received and You are in with a chance of winning, for the 6Up Over set out in that SMS response. If the prediction is different from that in Your 6Up entry, You sent a 6Up entry that must be interpreted. In this case, the 6Up entry is corrected in accordance with the rules set out above. If the 6Up Over number is not the one You expected, You have missed the Cut-off Time for your intended 6Up Over (including (without limitation) because of delays on the mobile network) or your entry was interpreted.
- If the response indicates “Not a 6Up Over”, the over You have chosen is not a 6UP Over. When You choose an over, make sure that You pick a 6Up Over. If Your 6Up entry does not match a 6Up Over, Your 6Up entry will be put into the next 6Up Over, if there is one.
- If the response indicates “Unfortunately, there are no more live 6Up Overs”, Your 6Up entry was for a non-6Up Over and /or was received after the Cut-off Time for the last 6Up Over.
- If the response indicates “You’ve missed the cut-off for Over 22, BUT still a chance”, Your 6Up entry was received after the Cut-off Time for that 6Up Over, but Your 6Up entry is now in the next 6Up Over, if there is one.
- If the response indicates “You missed the last 6Up Over of the game”, this means that Your 6Up entry was received after the Cut-off Time for the last 6Up Over.
- If the response indicates “An early end to the innings”, this means that the full set of overs will not be played for the innings, because of bad weather or for any other reason. If Your 6Up entry was not for a specific 6Up Over, Your entry is put into the next available 6Up Over of the same 6Up Match to give You a chance of winning. If Your 6Up entry was for a specific 6Up Over of the first innings, Your entry will be put into the equivalent over of the second innings if it is a 6Up Over, or, if it is not a 6Up Over, the first available 6Up Over of the second innings.
- If the response indicates “Game over early”, the match has finished early, possibly because of bad weather, the batting side is all out or the game is won by the batting side. Your 6Up entry was received after the last 6Up Over.
